We mainly deal with patients who require biologics/specialty medications used in the treatment of chronic medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, urticaria, ulcerative colitis, and many others.
At Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy, we provide patient-centric healthcare and assist patients in overcoming the challenges of specialty pharmacy. We utilize innovative strategies to deliver patients access to specialized therapy in a cost-effective, timely and caring manner leading to improved adherence, therapeutic success and overall well-being.
**Job description**
We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, ambitious Nursing Manager to join our growing RX Connect Specialty Pharmacy Team. The Nursing Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our Nurses, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary to provide high-quality care to our patients.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of nurses, including assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, address concerns, and facilitate communication.
- Provide ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, management, and other healthcare departments.
- Educate and train patients on medications in the clinics setting(s)
- Monitor treatments as well as chart and report on all activities as directed by Physician protocols
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and workload distribution to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and manage inventory, equipment, and supplies to support patient care activities.
- Provide patient education based on protocols, individually or in groups
- Regular, predictable availability to meet appointment scheduling needs in an efficient and cost-effective manner to provide patients with quick access to necessary therapies
- Sustain relations with key stakeholders, Clients, Physicians and other Health Care Professionals
- Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product specific programs
- Perform related duties and tasks as required
**Experience and Educational Requirements**:
- Qualified RPN or RN license (valid provincial license from the College of Nurses)
- Healthcare provider CPR certificate required
- ACLS certification required
- Liability insurance required
- Minimum 3 years experience as a nurse
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting are considered assets
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and our clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger remote team
