_**Position Overview **_
The Production Manager, Metal Prep oversees the daily operations of Pacific Energy’s metal preparation operations. This role coordinates, plans, and directs all the activities that go into the production of all sub-assemblies, parts, and packaging for the assembly of wood, gas and pellet stoves (Units). Working closely with the Production Manager, Product Assembly, coordinate the assembly of units. A key position in the organization the production Manager, Parts Supply answers directly to the President & COO.
- **Responsibilities**:_

a. Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets.

b. Plan and manage the establishment of the departmental budget.

c. Develop production schedules and maintain an accurate kanban inventory of raw materials and finished kanban products.

d. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work.

e. Work with Production Manager, Product Assembly to ensure adequate staffing to achieve company goals.

f. Work with Production Manager, Product Assembly to ensure production goals are met.

g. Implement Prokon P-Value system in area of responsibility

h. Direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures.

i. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines.

j. Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.

k. Oversee and coach metal prep supervisors.

l. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
- **Requirements**:_

a. Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role

b. Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools

c. Advanced skills in MS Office

d. Organizational and leadership abilities

e. Communication and interpersonal skills

f. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

g. Problem-solving skills

h. High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
