**Banquet Bartender**

**The Role**:
APC is seeking energetic and outgoing Banquet Bartenders who will report to the Manager, Banquets & Catering. The Banquet Bartender will require high attention to detail, ability to establish bar priorities, and the capacity to deliver an excellent bar and guest experience through prompt, accurate, and friendly delivery of requested beverages. The Banquet Bartender will ensure the bar is properly stocked with beverages, glassware, garnish, and routinely cleaned and sanitized. The Banquet Bartender may also be required at times to be a Banquet Server. The Banquet Server will work with the Food Services Team to deliver great service and quality products to ensure our guests have a wonderful experience that exceeds their expectations. The Banquet Server will set up venues for a function or event prior to the guest’s arrival and tear down the venue when the guests have left. The Banquet Bartender/Server is required to ensure the safe and healthy preparation of food & beverage items and ensure proper sanitation techniques are being met at all times to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food and beverages under the direction of the Executive Chef. We offer flexible work hours, that include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma and/or GED equivalent.
- Smart Choices Certificate required.
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced bar and food service environment.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to work with management staff and other colleagues in a professional manner.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer issues or complaints.
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of food, food ingredients, and food preparation methods.
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, holidays and have a flexible schedule as well as be able to work past midnight, perform multiple tasks, and prioritize efficiently.
- Prior banquets experience an asset.
- Drivers’ license an asset.
- Food Handlers Certificate an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
