A CPA practice in the Scarborough area is seeking an Accounting Technician. We are a professional firm who provides Advisory, Accounting and Management services to small and medium sized business.

Position available: Accounting Technician

**Salary**: $45,000-$50,000

The position will be a hybrid working environment once your training has been complete and you can work well independently. until then the firm will expect you to come into the office every day**. The person will need to have been working in a CPA office for a minimum of two years and worked on compilations, prepared corporate and personal tax returns, familiar with standard programs and utilized them as part of their job functions.**

For examples:

- CaseWare (or similar accounting program)
- Tax Prep (or similar tax program)
- Word, and in general Office 365 products.
- Excel spreadsheet knowledge is to be at a senior level. (IE pivot tables, What if statements)
- Accounting software (QBO, Sage or Wave)
- Verbal and written communication skills is expected to be at professional level,
- Understand the seasonal deadlines and time commitments related to working for a professional accounting practice (IE tax season, filing deadlines and working on multiple files at a time.)
- Has had experience with contacting the CRA, communicating and responding on the customer’s behalf related to tax issues.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
