**Hansen's Group of Companies** currently looking for an experienced and dedicated professional **Junior IT Technician** for our **Toronto, Ontario** location.

**Job Summary**

The Junior IT Technician, under the direction of the IT Manager, will primarily be responsible to provide internal information technology support, such as server security, software updates, and hardware maintenance. This position will troubleshoot errors and fix system issues via periodic testing, IT requests, and other methods. The Junior IT Technician must possess demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and high level of integrity and work ethic.

**Job Duties**
- Provide internal information technology support, such as server security, software updates, and hardware maintenance.
- Troubleshoot errors and fix system issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods.
- Assist in the implementation, deployment, and operation of information systems and technology solutions for business needs.
- Perform security and quality control testing.
- Assign usernames and passwords for employees and reset as required.
- Perform in-person, on-site repairs of PC desktop hardware, printers, and other peripherals.
- Monitor service providers.
- Monitor and provide support for software providers and platforms.
- Learn about the internal pricing/booking software to ultimately provide support to users.
- Implement and promote cybersecurity protection and education.
- Other functions may be added to the above as deemed necessary by the Manager.

**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary diploma in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, web design, or a field related to the industry.
- Certifications or licenses appropriate to industry.
- 3 years of related experience.
- Experience with Office 365 and other O365 collaboration tool.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical members of the organization.

**Physical Demands**
- Ability to walk up to 100 - 200 meters.
- Full ability to stand.
- Ability to sit for more than 1 hour.
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50lbs.
- Ability to view computer screen for long periods of time.

**Work Environment**
- Operation of desktop computer and peripherals.
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment.
- Occasional overtime.
- Occasional travel to company locations.
