**General Role Requirements**
- Be responsible for the timely and safe transportation of students to and from their home or parents work location within Waterloo Region
- Maintain relevant documentation and ensures that the shuttle vehicle is in optimal operating condition, including interior and exterior cleanliness, gas monitoring etc.
- Be self-starters and strive to be a conscientious and courteous representative of school, providing personalized service to each family at pickup and drop off.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and students as the initial morning and final afternoon contact with the school each day.
- Ensure that all rules of the road are maintained, including but not limited to, distracted driving legislation and speed limitations.
- Be sensitive to student needs while transporting students
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory Driving Abstract.
- Be personable, friendly, and outgoing while maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times (not just when students are in the vehicle)
- Engage the general public as a brand ambassador when required as our vehicles are also used to promote and market our institution.
- Transport students irrespective of weather, traffic and road conditions in a safe, respectful and professional manner, whenever the school is open for students.

**Important Skills**

- Provide support to other departments as required.
- Maintain frequent contact with transportation coordinator and or principal.
- Ensure an efficient route is established and followed, and that students are transported according to the indicated timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude.
- Excellent, polished, and clear verbal communication skills.
- Flexible and open to change; has initiative to take on special tasks as needed.
- Ability to manage customer complaints and to solve basic problems
- Be knowledgeable about the school, recruitment, admissions, and the daily happenings that would be of interest to parents and students.

**Hours of Work**
- Currently the role is for morning pickup and afternoon drop off.
- Morning Pickup leaves the school at 7:00 am
- Afternoon drop off leaves the school at 3:20 pm.
- This is a part time position to start with approximately 15 hours per week.

**Other Requirements and Relevant Skills**
- **Applicant should provide proof of 3 years of driving with passengers in Canada and provide any supporting documentation for insurance purposes.**:

- Actively maintain the cleanliness of personal and team workspaces, including vehicles.
- Driver's abstract will be required as condition of employment.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance.
- Holds a valid driver’s G license.
- Must provide a VSC, a Driver's Abstract, and provide 3 suitable references to be hired.
