**Job Overview**
As a Café & Gift Shop Attendant, you will be required to work in the Little Bites Cafe and the Little Things Gift Shop. You are a key guest-facing role and one of the last touch points to interact with our guests. The last impression holds a lot of weight in the guest experience and as such, it is the Café & Gift Shop Attendant responsibility to assist our guests, be welcoming, warm and pleasant and to provide exceptional service.
Your duties will include:
- Receiving stock and restocking of fridges, display cases and storage spaces
- Merchandising
- Brewing coffee
- Heating food
- Selling food and beverages to guests
- Minor cleaning and sanitizing of workspace, equipment used and tables & chairs
- Guest interaction and providing information/direction
- Upselling

**What you'll be doing**:
Based on the position you’re working in the Little Bites Café or the Little Things Gift Shop, your tasks may vary slightly. Please note the below is to provide an idea of what your role might look like. Other duties, not listed here, will be required.
- Ensure the success of all Little Canada’s operations.
- Live the Service Vision and lead by example, inspiring the team to provide the level of service we expect.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns quickly and appropriately.
- Provide a welcoming and approachable atmosphere to ensure all our guests receive the care they need.
- Be compliant with Little Canada’s Health & Safety Management System
- Be compliant with Cash Management Policy
- Be compliant with the Uniform & Grooming Policy
- Assist in the daily operations of the Little Bites Café and/or the Little Things Gift Shop while maintaining site security protocols (opening, closing, POS, receiving, restocking, merchandising, serving guests, cleaning/sanitizing workspaces, equipment, table and chairs).

- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and a phenomenal guest experience
- Have great organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Have the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate reports and updates in a timely manner
- Possess the ability to hit the ground running in a busy work environment
**A bonus if you have**:
- Food Safety Certification
- Smart Serve Certification
- Experience working in Food Service or Retail
**Working Conditions**
- This role is current based at 10 Dundas East, in the heart of downtown Toronto.
- Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs with the assisted use of service carts and dollies.
- Walking and standing for long periods of time.
- Bending and stretching when cleaning and stocking.
