**Métis Arts Collective Retail Administrator**
**Location**: 10410 95 St NW Edmonton, Alberta

**Position Status**: Part Time (up to 29 hours/week), Permanent

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support front desk operations and retail sales through executing purchases and performing general administrative tasks.
- Support the maintenance of financial records, perform data entry, and create documents or reports.
- Support visitor services and experience, including greeting customers, answering questions and assisting with requests, and resolving complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Track and maintain inventory, including purchasing retail inventory, coordinating with vendors, conducting inventory counts, and monitoring and managing shipments.
- Promote the Collective and its programs by maintaining and updating the Métis Arts Collective website and social media accounts.
- Support the general operations of the Collective and provide support to corresponding Arts Collective portfolios.
- Assist Métis artists find resources that are not provided within the kisîhtoskâtonaw Métis Arts Collective space.
- Support the mandate of the Arts Collective to uplift, advocate for, and support Métis artists and to propel Métis art into the mainstream arts ecosystem.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including service providers, internal Otipemisiwak Métis Government departments, affiliates, and community.
- Maintain a high level of political awareness, cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and
confidentiality in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as required or assigned.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, interpret and convey information to the appropriate staff and various audiences.
- Ability to produce professional documents, reports, and presentations.
- Familiarity with data management is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
- Political and cultural sensitivity and a strong sense of ethics, with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
- Knowledge of Métis history, culture, and issues affecting Métis people. An in-depth understanding of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and Métis culture is an asset.
- Knowledge of and a passion for the arts community in Edmonton and Alberta is an asset.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum two years of customer service experience is required.
- Experience working in retail is an asset.
- Experience with event planning and/or workshops is an asset.
- Experience working in an Indigenous and/or non-profit setting is an asset.

**Other Requirements**
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of days, evening, and weekends.
- Travel within Alberta and out-of-province is a requirement.
- Reliable transportation and valid class 5 drivers’ license.
