**What it’s all about**:
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for forecasting, replenishment, and buying products to support the effective flow of inventory through the Flanagan Foodservice network. This role will also generate and maintain various reporting functions to support our customer facing teams.
**What you’ll do**:
- Support the forecasting & replenishment of food and beverage items, and other categories as assigned
- Issuing purchase orders, and liaise with vendors and carriers to bring products in on time and to meet demands
- Follow up on orders to ensure accurate deliveries
- Support seasonal forecasting and promo management
- Managing inventory to meet shelf life requirements
- Meet established targets for inventory, inventory turns, and fill rates
- Manage obsolete inventory and write-offs pertaining to the portfolio
- Communicate and respond to sales team requests on a daily basis or as needed
- Provide support to the supply chain planning team and coverage as required
- Collaborate with the Protein Category Manager on executing the marketing strategy
**What we need**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Supply planning/buying preferred
- Post-secondary education in business, supply chain or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong organization and time management skills required
- Previous experience in the food/beverage industry considered an asset
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
- Experience with Replenishment programs such as JDA considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and support multiple product portfolios
