We are looking for a skilled and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Meat and Seafood Clerk. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the highest quality and freshness of our meat and seafood products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers in selecting meat and seafood products
- Receive, inspect, and properly store meat and seafood shipments, adhering to food safety standards
- Prepare meat and seafood products for display, including filleting, trimming, grinding and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat and seafood department, including display cases and work areas
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking meat and seafood products
- Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of meat and seafood items
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain product freshness and safety
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and provide exceptional customer service

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a meat or seafood department preferred
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat, seafood varieties, and preparation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow food safety protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects, work inside fridges and freezers and stand for extended periods
