Controls Specialist
- Communicating with the development engineering team.
- Mapping out programming strategy to meet unit requirements.
- Applying, testing and providing service for programming strategies adopted by the team.
- Creating supporting documentation in Azure.
- Training Application Engineers.
- Supporting the development of products.
- Supporting of HVAC system testing in production, laboratories or job sites.
- Training others in controls operation, programming and troubleshooting.
- A university/college degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in product design and development of large mechanical, commercial, or HVAC equipment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls equipment and Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation and Controls (BAC) networks preferred.
- Experience with BMS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, etc. preferred.
- Knowledge of programming in Structured text and function blocks.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Azure DevOps is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, especially breaking down complex requirements.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- The proven ability to take ownership of tasks and from start to delivery, including analysis, estimating, implementation, testing and documentation.
- The proven ability to work in a team environment with various stakeholders and roles including business analyst, architect, project manager, and quality assurance.
- A strong commitment to professional development.
