Healthcare Support Services Command Centre Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Healthcare Support Services Command Centre Manager coordinates, supervises and ensures proper execution of all activities related to the Healthcare Support Services Centre. This person is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all patients, visitors and staff ensuring they experience consistent, professional, and courteous interactions and experiences.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads the Support Services Supervisors and Dispatchers to optimize patient discharge bed cleaning and patient transport throughout the facility
- Supervises Support Services Supervisors, Flow Dispatchers and Scheduling Coordinators
- Hiring, training, evaluating staff performance; maintains schedules, time keeping records
- Manages Patient Transfer information; maintains privacy and confidentiality of all records
- System Administrator for the Messaging program; manages the Aramark 24/7 call centre operation
- Maintains Facility Fit Pro and Telephone Transfer computer systems
- Participates in the Hospital Emergency Operations Committee (HEOP); develops and implements communication systems, procedures, and initiatives for effective communication during the hospital emergency operations
- Responds to complaints and emergency requests; creates action plans for corrective actions
- Transmits financial information for Support Services Department and prepares reports for review
- Maintains the department’s Policy and Procedure manual; ensures compliance with procedures
- Maintains compliance with Aramark and hospital SOP’s and Business Conduct Policy
- Maintains compliance with requirements of Federal, Provincial, and local regulations guidelines

**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Environmental, Business or Information Systems is an asset
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a healthcare or support services department
- Previous Call/Command Centre management experience in the healthcare system is required
- 2+ years management or supervisory experience in a healthcare support service
- Must have Computerize Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Telephone Transfer experience
- Model key leadership behaviours to ensure the greatest level of safety, quality, and service
- Strong MS Office skills; advanced Word, Excel; Microsoft Access database management experience
- Knowledge of Data Systems, Telephony and Electronic Gateways is an asset
