**About Us**:
The BC Forensic League (BCFL) is a non-profit National Speech and Debate Official Organization that has been empowering students through debate and public speaking for over 13 years. As part of the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA), we provide a dynamic and supportive environment where students build essential skills in rhetoric, critical thinking, and communication.

**Position Overview**:
**We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Public Speaking Coach** to join our team and work with students in grades 3-7. As a coach, you will inspire and guide young students as they develop their public speaking abilities in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment. If you have a passion for teaching, a background in public speaking or drama, and enjoy working with young learners, we’d love to have you join our team

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Teach a range of public speaking techniques to students in grades 3-7, including oratory, dramatic prose, dramatic interpretation, storytelling, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Lead engaging and structured classes that support skill development in public speaking.
- Develop lesson plans and create educational resources, such as worksheets and fun activities, to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel encouraged to express themselves and build confidence.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all learners are engaged and challenged.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication in students.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong background in public speaking, debate, or a related field such as drama or communication.
- Prior experience teaching or mentoring children, particularly elementary or middle school students, is preferred.
- Ability to create engaging, interactive lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Passion for public speaking and mentoring students in their growth.
- Fluency in English is required.

- **Job Type**: Part-time
- **Pay**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
- **Expected Hours**: 10-18 hours per week (Tuesday-Saturday)
- **Work Location**: Langley, BC (Carvolth Area
