**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
The Manager, Marketing and Communication reports to the Director of Sales and or designate and provides marketing and communication leadership to WCSHM to help us achieve vision and goals. The Manager, Marketing and Communication leads and oversees all the internal and external marketing and communication of WCSHM. This role includes monitoring public opinions, and handling the organization's public image while working while with the rest of the organization. The Manager Marketing and Communication will provides leadership, coaching, mentoring and training to the Support Office team members and Community
- based teams that are involved in marketing and communication.

The Manager Marketing and Communication will work collaboratively with other members of the Support Office team in building a dynamic and sustainable organization culture of trust, integrity and service that will propel the growth of our people and the organization.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Engage and mobilize teams to achieve the purpose, goals, objective and key results of the organization.
- An engaged and collaborative team player, developing and maintaining professional relationships that support and strengthen the WCSHM/organizational culture and purpose.
- Model the values and leadership behaviours of WCSHM/organization and inspire others to do the same.
- Lead all marketing and communication activists activities at the organizational and community level
- Take responsibility for regular and compelling marketing materials to support the efforts of the sales team in order to meet or exceed occupancy targets for the portfolio
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders to drive sales and awareness of the company within the public eye.
- Managing social and other new digital media
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video and written).
- Advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
- Build advertising as needed
- Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target market
- Oversee the design and delivery of all advertising and marketing materials
- Manage social and traditional media
- Manage the communication plan for the Support Office and oversee community level communication plans
- Identify new revenue generation opportunities for the organization
- Community outreach and communication plans are developed and implemented
- Development and manage marketing budget
- Training, mentoring, evaluating and coaching of leaders and teams on marketing and communication
- Develop and nurture community and industry partnerships
- Ensure the consistent adherence to brand standards
- Community communication plans are developed and implemented
- Any additional duties assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strategic thinking with a knack for building relationships that count
- Business degree with a specialization in marketing degree, or equivalent experience and education
- Must have at least 5 years of marketing and communication experience, with team management experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of marketing concepts, skills, processes, and programs
- Strong organizational and time prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Up-to-date with current and emerging market trends
- Ability to problem-solve and provide supportive decision making
- Proven experience coaching, training and mentoring sales teams
- Proven change management experience

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Travel to communities within the organization
- Valid Provincial Driver’s License
- All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
