For 61 years, the IHOP family restaurant chain has served our world-famous pancakes and a wide variety of breakfast, that are loved by people of all ages — offering an affordable, everyday dining experience with warm and friendly service.

**Summary**

Our restaurant is looking for a host with a remarkable personality and engaging people skills.

Host greets (both arriving and departing), seats all guests in a friendly manner, assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant, and helps our restaurant provide a pleasurable dining experience.

**Responsibilities of a Host**:

- Greeting, seating, and escorting guests.
- Opens door for guests arriving and departing.
- Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities.
- Process To-Go and Delivery Orders.
- Manage Wait List when the restaurant is busy.
- Providing menu recommendations and additional information.
- Upselling additional products when appropriate.
- Taking orders using software or order pads.
- Communicating order details to the kitchen staff.
- Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion to outside guests.
- Delivering checks and collecting bill payments.
- Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the restaurant
- Providing exceptional customer experience.

**Host Job Requirements**:

- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
- Multitasking, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.

- 8 hour shift
