Chilangos Mexican Restaurant started at the Belleville Waterfront & Multicultural Festival ten years ago. It's a family-owned Mexican food restaurant recognized for its authentic dishes, great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. We're seeking Hosts and Hostesses to continue operating at our high standards and join our incredible team.

**Requirements**:

- You have at least 6 months of experience in the hospitality industry, which is preferable but not required.
- You have computer literacy and experience using POS systems and cash handling, which is preferable but not required.
- You are a team player, motivated to create the best customer experience possible, energetic, proactive, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, quick learner, punctual and reliable.
- You remain calm and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
- You can multitask.
- You have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- You can work in a standing position for long periods, lift and/or move up to fifty lbs.
- You have the flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- You are bilingual (English - Spanish/ French). That's an asset

Role and responsibilities

What are some of the core activities you'll be performing?
- You'll promptly and warmly greet and acknowledge every customer when they enter the Restaurant.
- You'll seat customers based on their preferences, considering the balance of customer flow.
- You'll offer the customers the menu and inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness.
- You'll provide customers with an estimated waiting time when applicable.
- You'll accommodate special seating requests for customers whenever possible.
- You'll take and enter take-out orders into our POS system, prepare the items and hand them to the delivery personnel or customers.
- You'll process any necessary payment.
- You'll perform general cleaning duties at the front of the house, clearing tables, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, etc.
- You'll inform the Front-of-the-house supervisor of any customer situation, inventory shortages or situations that might violate the restaurant policies, rules, or procedures.
- You'll perform other related duties as assigned by the Front-of-the-house supervisor or Managers.
