Loader & Skid Steer Operator - Winter Snow Removal (with Optional Summer Work)

By The Yard Landscaping and Construction is hiring experienced Loader and Skid Steer Operators for the upcoming winter season. This role is focused on commercial properties, businesses, and condominium sites only no residential shoveling or hand work. Operators will primarily run equipment and trucks for snow clearing, sanding, and hauling duties, with optional opportunities for full-time summer work on landscaping, construction, and property maintenance crews.
**Responsibilities**
- Safely and efficiently operate loaders and/or skid steers for commercial snow removal
- Perform sanding, hauling, and trucking duties as required
- Haul and maneuver trailers (must be comfortable and capable)
- Conduct pre
- and post-operation inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely clearing during and after snow events
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
**Requirements**:
- Multiple years of proven loader and/or skid steer operating experience (required)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with G endorsement, or valid Class 3A license (required)
- Ability to haul and back trailers confidently (required)
- Knowledge of safe operating practices in winter conditions
- Flexible availability for day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as snowfall requires
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
- Personal cell phone for communication
**Compensation**
- Hourly, seasonal salary, or hybrid pay options available
- Pay rate/salary dependent on experience and license class
- Benefits after 3 months (dental, extended health care, vision, and life insurance)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
