We are looking for an experienced line cook to join our team Scheduled hours are anywhere between 20-30 a week, with early morning hours of operation.

Line cooks will work underneath the Management team at Emerald Coffee to successfully execute orders and ensure that exquisite and high-quality customer service is being promoted to our guests. Cooks will follow our sector safety procedures to ensure a secure workplace for everyone, as adequate safety measures are needed to maintain the quality of our workers and guests.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Setting up, cleaning and organizing work stations
- Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
- Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
- Handling multiple food orders at the same time
- Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive
- Dressing order for presentation
- Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides
- Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner
- Storing all food properly
- Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous Restaurant & Café experience - 3 years of line cook experience preferred
- Impeccable attention to detail & a creative outlook
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Able to work as a part of a team & works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Physical endurance to stand for entire shift
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Food Handlers Certificate & Food Licenses is considered an asset.
- Smart Serve Certificate
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible Availability including early mornings, evenings and weekends

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
