**About the role**:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

Reporting to the Manager Facilities & Biomedical Services and Coordinators (Physical Plant and Mechanical,
Electrical, Controls and Systems), this position is responsible for providing technical leadership for the operation,
maintenance and monitoring of all mechanical plant equipment, services and systems for all equipment in the
hospital and on the hospital grounds.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
*Valid Ontario First or Second Class Operating Engineers Certification
*Minimum of five years experience in relevant Plant Operations
Skills/Abilities:
*Demonstrated technical and maintenance skills in regards to Plant Operations.
*Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the Operating Engineers Act, the Boiler and Pressure
Vessels Act, and all other applicable Legislation and Standards of Accreditation.
*Knowledge of all applicable requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
*Demonstrated preventative maintenance planning and CMMS skills.
*Proven ability to exhibit a courteous and professional manner when interacting with colleagues, staff,
patients and visitors.
Assets:
*Gas Fitters Certification
*Current Emergency First Aid and C.P.R. Certification.
*TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) IMT (Industrial Maintenance Technician) Certificate.
Salary Range: $39.960 -$41.590
