Reporting to the Manager ‑ Facilities & Biomedical Services, this role is responsible for assisting with capital or

renovation projects, CMMS (computer maintenance management system), maintenance of the asset list and

planning of preventative maintenance routines in support of the Physical Plant and Facilities / Maintenance group

and leading small scale projects within their delegated scope.

Specifically this role will provide planning, coordinating and supervision of small scale projects for which the

department is responsible and work with TBRHSC and contractor employees to investigate and complete

maintenance and capital tasks.

With input and oversight by the Manager ‑ Facilities & Biomedical Services the areas of responsibilities include

specifically: capital projects support during planning, oversight of construction site, liaising with consultants and

contractors, project cost monitoring and reconciliation, renovations, develop logistics for project milestones,

communicate to end users, procurement preparing small scopes of work and soliciting quotations, department

records and files including capital & maintenance project documentation and drawings, update new equipment

asset & maintenance records in CMMS.

**Education**:

- Diploma in Engineering or Architecture required with preference given to a degree and a professional designation

(e.g. P.Eng, Arch)
- Project Management Course or Program Certificate preferred ‑ with preference given to a professional designation

(e.g. CAPM, PMP)

**Experience**:

- Two to Five years in a technical position, preference to positions with strong design skills and implementation

experience

**Skills**:

- Strong project management and time management is essential

CMMS.
- Proficient in the interpretation of plans, specifications and technical drawings
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Great organizational skills
- Analytical problem solving ability combined with strong work ethics and a positive attitude
- Strong commitment to customer service

*Functional knowledge of facility systems and components including mechanical, electrical, civil structural,

architectural and life safety

Knowledge:

- Maintains competency in Ontario Building Code, relevant CSA standards, including Infection Control, Ontario Fire

Code, ESA, TSSA and/or BPS Procurement Guidelines
- Upgrades abilities and skills as required.

Salary Range: $36.744 to 43.229
