**About Us**

Jason Parkes Customs is a rag-tag group of three Wineries, a Ciderhouse, and a Brewery calling West Kelowna home.

**JOB SUMMARY**

Our brand-new Human Resources role will be assisting with all human related activities within the company. This position will be filled by someone who can help translate our culture and values across the company. Onboarding, training, payroll, bonus structures, benefits management and so much more.

**Job Expectations**:

- Recruitment
- Organizing job postings, reviewing applicants, interviewing, onboarding
- Working with location managers during the process
- Assisting with implementation and follow up of training programs
- Plan and propose programs
- Onboarding new hires
- Following up that new hires are being trained properly
- Review and edit programs as needed
- Build and assist with performance review management
- Recommend policy changes and keep policy handbook updated
- Be available to managers and staff regarding HR issues, discipline, and maintaining employee files
- Help mitigate and monitor any and all staff conflicts
- Learn and maintain payroll systems
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll functions
- Review and manage benefits and RRSP programs
- Recommend, help implement, and monitor: bonus structures, employee incentive programs, staff perks, tip programs

**Necessary Skills**:

- Understanding and in-depth knowledge of Employment Standards Act
- Experience with processing payroll for 100+ employees
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Professional written communication skills
- Ability to mediate between staff
- Skills to have difficult conversations with employees. Possibly regarding sensitive issues, discipline, inappropriate behaviours

**Education and Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree with a major in business or human resources

Preferably 5+ years of practical experience working in an HR role.

Experience with payroll and benefits functions

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
