We are currently seeking a Commercial Insurance Risk Placement Broker who can help LIG achieve our goals by providing exceptional service and product expertise to our Producers and Service Brokers. This role will work in tandem with sales and service teams to compile submissions to market and find the best solution for our clients. You’ll be actively involved in all aspects of marketing/placement to insurers and provide the bench strength resource of insurer appetite and target class information.

**What will you do?**
- Evaluate risk, create submissions, and market to insurance carriers
- Negotiate and secure terms for commercial business
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with our insurance partners
- Stay current with insurance carrier’s target appetite
- Create winning proposals and presentations in partnership with internal sales teams
- Collaborate with internal teams to continue elevating knowledge and success

**Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications**:

- 5 + years commercial insurance experience, with preference to those who have property/casualty underwriting experience
- RIBO License and other industry qualifications such as CAIB, CIP, CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid negotiation skills
- Effective organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) experience (preferably with EPIC) an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment and ability to use creativity in structuring proposals
