**Position Overview**:
The QA Technician supports the Quality Assurance department by inspecting incoming and stored products, coordinating with internal teams to address quality issues, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
**This role will work Saturday and Sunday**
**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming products and record findings in designated logs.
- Perform regular quality checks, including daily inspections of sensitive items and weekly reports for slow-moving inventory; report issues to relevant departments.
- Assist with CFIA inspections by preparing products, arranging inspection areas, assembling pallets for selected boxes, and releasing products post-inspection.
- Perform regular inventory counts and adjust records when products are removed.
- Arrange and document dump load processes appropriately.
- Assist with product identification and verification of incoming purchase orders for necessary adjustments.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Over 2 years of experiences in working in a warehouse, produce distribution environment preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of both local and imported produce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; capable of working independently and within a team.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Food Safety regulations and procedures.
- Certification and/or practical experience in operating forklifts and pallet jacks is an asset.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$20.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
