Business Modeling Specialist

**What your day will look like**:
The Business Modeling Specialist reports to the Manager, Voice of Customer. In this role, you will be responsible for the following aspects
- Lead the business process modeling efforts for the key processes of the CX organization following the ArchiMate standards to build consistent and customer-centric models, while also successfully showcasing dependencies between processes, systems, and departments
- Leverage the mapped processes to identify areas of improvement, including data points required for reporting and analytics, and collaborate with the Business Operations Automation & Analytics team on the related improvement initiatives
- Assist the Business Operations Automation & Analytics team with mapping the motivational, capability and value stream contexts for the various initiatives and change requests brought by the CX organization’s departments
- Meet with various CX stakeholders to review business model and process mappings, and ensure constant alignment with departmental and enterprise transformation objectives
- Define and manage the roadmap for the mapping of key processes according to current business priorities, and ensure stakeholders are consistently informed of the progress
- Maintain up to date all existing business processes mapped in collaboration with their stakeholders
- Assist with the modeling efforts of the CX org’s Business Motivation Models (BMM) by working with the CX management team to identify their department-specific objectives and map them following ArchiMate standards
- Assist with developing and corroborating testing scenarios for new processes and changes to existing ones with the models to ensure all the proper tests have been established
- Provide guidance and assistance on the modeling of the business architecture for projects lead by the CX org’s business domains with the use of ArchiMate modeling language
- Define and contribute to the guidelines and best practices for the Business Architecture of the CX organization while leveraging ArchiMate modeling language and Genetec-specific guidelines (ex: Syntax)
- Adhere and contribute to the governance of the CX organization’s business architecture, while ensuring alignment with Genetec’s enterprise architecture as defined by its Architecture Governance Board
- Ensure new processes and data requests are mapped according to ArchiMate standards, and that they are continuously updated by the teams involved
- Support the goal of linking our CX business domains’ architecture to the company-wide Enterprise Architecture
- Define, implement and manage a shared repository including our ArchiMate models to facilitate collaboration of the CX org in their business architecture and their link with other Genetec business domains’ architecture
- Grow the knowledge of Business Architecture and ArchiMate modeling language of the CX organization’s teams
- Grow the adoption of the ArchiMate modeling language by the CX organization for all business modeling efforts
- Collaborate with the Business Operations Automation & Analytics team to oversee the governance of the CX organization’s operational processes, modeling, tooling, reporting and analytics, as well as its customer data protection
- Provide assistance with our active projects (e.g., with requirements gathering, purchasing (finding potential vendors, completing the Request for Proposal, etc.), completing proposal presentations for our Executive team, etc.)

**About you**:
**Experience/Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business with an enterprise architecture background, or equivalent experience
- Master of Business Administration degree would be an asset
- 5+ years of relevant working experience
- 3+ years or more experience working in Business Architecture or process modeling
- Proficient in verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (fluent in both would be an asset)
- Excellent modeling, analytical, conceptual, communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills

**Ability to**:

- Produce business domain architecture artifacts (e.g., business process, strategy, capability and organization models, value streams, etc.) following ArchiMate modeling language
- Translate business processes into ArchiMate process diagrams
- Communicate ArchiMate models in easy-to-understand terms to stakeholders, and tailor your message according to the targeted audience
- Extract process improvement opportunities from the models in conjunction with their stakeholders
- Identify signals and capture changes that will impact the architecture of supported business domains
- Teach business modeling concepts to the users of supported business domains
