Axe & Volt Blasters Associate

Volt Raceway is the premier destination for entertainment and excitement in Ontario, featuring the largest indoor go-kart track in the region. Beyond thrilling races, Volt Raceway offers a comprehensive experience with Eddie’s Restaurant & Bar, an exhilarating axe-throwing area, a lively pool hall, and a state-of-the-art arcade.

We are looking for confident, energetic, and reliable people that can instruct and lead various sized groups on how to throw an axe safely and effectively (don’t worry if you’ve never thrown an axe, we can teach you), as well as lead people through the exciting game of Gellyball. This position will require approximately 20 hours a week, mostly weekends and evenings, with specialty groups during regular business hours. Smart Serve is a plus.
- Run events for various sized groups, including safety briefings, axe throwing instruction.
- Ensure guests have a fun, safe experience and have constant awareness of health and safety.
- Supervise gameplay, including being available to answer questions and instruct, uphold safety rules and regulations, act as a referee when needed, and interacting with the groups and generally ensuring everyone is having an amazing time.
- Safe use of basic power tools to maintain and replace targets - e.g., Cordless drill, chop saw and wood planer (we will instruct)
- Prepare venue and lanes for reservations including, wetting the boards, replacing targets, checking axes and maintaining clean lanes.
- Maintaining a clean facility, sanitizing guest areas and touch points.
- Ensure that all company procedures and safety policies are always followed.
- You will also be responsible for supervising the throwing lane area, keeping customers safe and encouraging a fun atmosphere.
- Participate in daily training sessions.
