**Job Summary**:
As a TELUS Alarm System Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting TELUS alarm systems for residential and commercial customers. You will be compensated on a **piece-rate** basis, meaning your earnings are directly tied to the volume and complexity of jobs completed. Depending on your experience and the number of jobs completed, annual earnings range from **$50,000 to $80,000**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Installation & Setup**:

- Install and configure TELUS alarm systems, including cameras, sensors, control panels, and other related devices.
- Ensure installations meet TELUS standards and customer expectations.
- **System Maintenance & Troubleshooting**:

- Conduct routine maintenance and system checks.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with alarm systems, including wiring, connectivity, and software.
- Provide technical support and resolve customer issues efficiently.
- **Customer Interaction & Training**:

- Educate customers on the operation of their TELUS alarm system, including mobile apps and system functionality.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction with every installation or service visit.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Keep accurate records of installations, service calls, and customer interactions.
- Provide reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions as required.
- **Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Stay current with TELUS products, services, and industry advancements.

**Requirements**:

- **Education & Certification**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in security systems or a related field is preferred.
- TELUS product training or certification is an asset.
- **Experience**:

- experience in the installation and maintenance of alarm/security systems, ideally with TELUS products is an asset.
- Knowledge of networking, electrical systems, and customer service is an asset.
- **Skills & Abilities**:

- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

**Compensation**:

- This is a **piece-rate** compensation model where you are paid based on the number and complexity of completed installations and service calls.
- Estimated annual earnings range from **$50,000 to $80,000**, depending on experience, hours worked, and job volume.
- Subcontractors are paid on a per-job basis, with compensation determined by the job type and complexity.(need vehicle and tools)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 80 per week
