Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking an experienced, strategic and customer-focused **Product Manager**for its Agriculture group. As a preferred OEM supplier of high precision positioning technology, including market leading GNSS positioning, correction services, & autonomy, our customers develop solutions and services that solve many of the world's most exciting and difficult positioning challenges - autonomy perception and positioning for agriculture guidance and precision farming systems. Your role within the team will be pivotal to the successful marketing of our company to our highly diverse, worldwide customer base.
**The Location**:Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.
**Responsibilities**:
The **Agriculture Positioning Product Manager** will report to the Segment Manager and is responsible for these tasks:
- Product Lifecycle: Executes on all phases of the product lifecycle for a product line from initial concept through development, sustaining and eventual end-of-life
- Requirements Definition: Supports the definition of customer use cases and Marketing Requirement Document (MRD) level requirements for a specific product line
- Product & Market Strategy: Defines product strategy for specific products/service line ensuring that the strategy aligns to the investment/ business area and division level strategies
- Product & Market Strategy: Develops and presents a business case for specific features/products; proposes product parameters (price, time to market) to meet target NPV
- Decision-Making: Uses a decision-making framework to improve the quality of decisions impacting product performance. Contributes to decision making by identifying key decision criteria and gathering relevant information. Facilitates decision making, records and communicates all key project decisions to impacted stakeholders
- Road mapping: Responsible for the product roadmap and all feature prioritization for their products, including reporting and dashboards. Contributes to portfolio and segment level roadmaps.
- Reporting & Data Analysis: Contributes to the reporting and analysis of key KPIs to suggest improvements and changes to product line.
- Process Development and Improvement: Follows the defined processes and participates in process improvement and may lead process improvement initiatives.
- Execute product launch activities, product sheets, feature briefs and other relevant collateral related to new products and services
- In collaboration with Portfolio Marketing Manager:
- Strategize and plan how best to represent the company’s value proposition, products and services related to our customers’ Agricultural positioning needs
- Defining product line vision and ensuring alignment with division and business area objectives
- Gathering and defining customer requirements that support the company’s vision
- Understand the buying criteria of the company’s customers and tailor product marketing to these needs
Qualifications:
**Key Metrics**:
- Financial growth and profitability of the Agriculture Positioning portfolio
- Successful and sustainable strategy in short, medium and long term across the targeted Ag market segments
**Must Have**:
- 2+ years of product management experience
- 2+ years of experience with GNSS positioning products
- Experience in Precision Agriculture markets is highly preferred
- Degree in Technical-Engineering and/or Business-Marketing related field
- Basic understanding of product development processes
- Strong business & financial acumen
- Strong written and oral communication skills from both technical and marketing perspectives
- Ability to travel up to 25%
