Through these actions, we will be receptive, relevant, relational, and real with our community. Manhattan Place is McMan’s community-based group home. This home provides a safe and stable living environment with individualized support and around the clock care for youth aged 13-17 years. Manhattan Place works closely with youth to strengthen relationships with their families and friends and foster connections in the community. We are currently seeking a **Casual-Relief Youth Worker** to work as needed. Our Youth Workers use a client centered strength-based approach while providing support to youth within two of McMan’s programs. The Youth Worker is responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of our youth’s day to day needs (e.g., house responsibilities, managing a client caseload, setting up case conferences that support the transition plan and ongoing service plan goals of the youth). The Youth Worker supports and supervises the youth to ensure their needs are being met. **This is a casual position. Hours are offered as they become available.** - Diploma or Degree in Human Services - Experience working with youth with complex needs - Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills - Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of the Natural Supports Framework - A good understanding of how trauma, grief and loss can impact identity and connection with natural supports - Current standard First Aid Certification and Suicide Intervention Training - Valid Driver’s license and adequate insurance coverage - Current Police and Child Intervention checks (within 6 months) - 3 years of driving experience with a Class 5 license **Salary**: $22.06 per hour **Closing Date**: November 5, 2024 **We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.** **Job Type**: Contract
