Personal Insurance Specialist, Renewal

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a valued member of the Renewal Retention Team at Waypoint, you will play a pivotal role in
managing the renewal cycle for existing personal insurance policies while delivering exceptional
customer service. This position requires a dedicated insurance professional with a passion for client
engagement and a consultative approach to selling Waypoint's products and services, particularly
focusing on various forms of personal lines business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Successfully renews policies by thoroughly reviewing current coverages and providing tailored

recommendations based on individual client needs.
- Conducts comprehensive reviews of product terms and conditions, including coverages, limits, and

exclusions, to minimize errors and omissions.
- Collaborates effectively with Waypoint's Personal Lines Support Team, domestic insurers, and

Managing General Agents (MGA) to ensure seamless operations.
- Achieves all established retention targets while adhering to Waypoint's standards and

underwriting guidelines.
- Ensures accurate maintenance of client information and insurance policy details within relevant

systems.
- Processes endorsements, cancellations, and adjustments for insurance policies and additional

products/services.
- Utilizes active listening and investigative skills to resolve potential challenges with policy renewals.
- Executes renewal market assessments according to Waypoint's policies and client -specific
- requirements.- Manages payment processing and diligently follows up on outstanding payments.
- Issues renewal documents, endorsements, and cancellations for insurance policies and additional
- products/services.- Identifies client needs, coverage gaps, and cross-selling opportunities to enhance client protection.
- Maintains stringent processing standards, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness.
- Develops and sustains a comprehensive understanding of insurance manuals, best practices,

standards, policies, and systems.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Level 2 BC Insurance license.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and maintains integrity in all interactions.
- Possesses strong critical thinking skills, effectively prioritizes tasks, and excels in multitasking.
- Exhibits a persuasive attitude coupled with excellent customer relationship skills.
- Displays advanced conflict resolution abilities and remains composed under pressure.

- Possesses computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
