**DESCRIPTION**
- We are looking for an experienced researcher to help FPInnovations support the industry in achieving sustainable development objectives, including greenhouse gas emission reductions. The researcher will work on the development of models and tools within multidisciplinary project teams.
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Continue development of forest carbon models
- Develop data for tools and models
- Develop performance indicators based on recognized standards and practices
- Carry out applied analyses to support innovation in the forestry sector
- Communicate research results to industry and government members of FPI
- Be a trusted safety collaborator; adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2nd cycle university degree in industrial engineering, forestry, wood science or related field
- 3 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of forest carbon modeling tools is an asset
- Fluency in English and in French (written and spoken)
**SKILLS**
- Team spirit, curiosity and desire to improve the forest industry;
- Resilience, adaptability to changing priorities;
- Project management experience;
- Ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously, organizational skills and a strong sense of initiative;
- Positive attitude and openness to learning.
