**Role Purpose**

The Jr Supply Chain Planner plays an important role in supporting supply chain functions to plan, analyze, report and monitor a variety of areas. Supporting supply continuity of materials for seamless daily operations and ensuring product is delivered to customers with a high service level and in a cost-efficient manner is a focus for this team member.

**Reports to**

Associate Director - Supply Chain

**Responsibilities**

  • Collect and analyze RM spends to identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency in sourcing
  • Assist reporting manager with sourcing exercises and contracts with vendors
  • Plans and assists in scheduling carriers for all logistics movements based on sales order updations from CSR team
  • Lead sourcing activities for non-complex purchases (consumables and contract renewals) in accordance with the Procurement policy and guidelines
  • Time to time assistance in replenishing inventory by placing purchase orders with vendors after reviewing inventory and production plan.
  • Maintain and manage key reports including but not limited to Balance Contract volumes, BPO trackers, Logistics Cost to Serve
  • Review and ensure system hygiene is maintained with a high data accuracy for all ordering parameters (supplier information, item details, pricing etc)
  • Prepare SOPs for all procurement & logistics activities for standardization of processes
  • Coordinate meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders as required to enable scheduling inbound orders, resolve any receiving discrepancies, returns and assist supplier recalls and streamline warehouse operations
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, tracking and reporting of performance metrics
  • Support optimization of On-Hand inventory of materials to enable continuous support for production runs at mínimal storage costs
  • Support as a backup to the Buyer/Replenishment coordinator, and Customer Service Representatives

**Knowledge & Skills & Abilities**

  • Post secondary education in a relatable field (ie. Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize; able to work in a time sensitive, fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience in PowerBI would be an asset
  • Exposure to ERP platform and supply chain optimization tools is considered an asset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Team player and collaborate well with internal / external stakeholders
