Position: K-12 Curriculum Consultant - Permanent
**Salary**: As per Collective Agreement (annual Consultant's allowance of $8,723.00 is applicable)

Qualifications/Assets
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate;
- Junior and Intermediate Division qualifications;
- Religious Education Part 1 an asset;
- Reading Specialist is an asset;
- Special Education Specialist is an asset;
- Knowledge of OHRC's: The Right to Read Inquiry and recommendations;
- Extensive knowledge of Structured Literacy;
- Deep understanding of Universal Design for Learning, Differentiated Instruction, and practices in assessment for, as, and of learning;
- A demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations and the Ontario Curriculum;
- Knowledge of CDSBEO's Tiered Reading Intervention Framework;
- Strong understanding of how to effectively utilize AI for teaching and learning;
- Extensive knowledge of assessment, evaluation and reporting practices in alignment with _Growing Success: Assessment Evaluation and Reporting in Ontario Schools; _and
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel to rural schools across the CDSBEO are required.

**Summary**
The Consultant will facilitate both system-level and job-embedded professional learning in areas such as literacy, assessment and evaluation, the use of artificial intelligence in classroom instruction, de-streaming strategies, and culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy. As a key member of the Curriculum Team, the Consultant will also assist with system and school level EQAO data analysis, preparation and administration.
In addition, the Consultant will provide direct support to classroom educators across all divisions, with a focus on mentoring teachers new to the profession through the New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP). This includes offering guidance in areas such as lesson planning, differentiated instruction, assessment and evaluation practices, and effective classroom management strategies.
