Reporting to the owners, the Controller will be an integral part of the leadership team and responsible for the full cycle accounting of the organization. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic organization where you can add value to the business through developing best practice accounting systems and guiding the company’s financial decisions through solid accounting and financial reporting. Leading a small accounting support team, you will be looked upon to motivate, inspire and delegate appropriately.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day-to-day accounting functions and leadership to the accounting team
- Assist an overview of payroll functions using Sage
- Reconciliation of weekly and monthly bank statements
- Monitor and review monthly receivables for accuracy, & adjustments
- Ensures appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements
- Preparation of GST and other legislated taxes and assessments are reconciled and remitted
- Develops & document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and manage risk
- Prepare and maintain financial metrics for reporting purposes
- Monitor and analyze monthly operation results against forecast/budget, cash flow, and other cost-benefit analysis

**Skills and Qualifications**
- CPA designation with a minimum of 3-5 years experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of US accounting and cross-border issues considered an asset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft products, specifically Excel
- Experience with Sage 50
- Advanced analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships based on trust and integrity
- Construction or Project related experience as an asset
- Excellent understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and internal controls
- Willingness to roll your sleeves up and have an all-hands-on desk when required attitude

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
