**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Controller is responsible for leading the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role will optimize key accounting functions, implement effective financial controls, risk management and forecasting to support business objectives. The Controller will require strong personal and team leadership skills and will collaborate closely with leadership to provide financial insights that drive informed data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, strategic financial planning expertise, and the ability to implement scalable processes and systems.

**RESPONIBILITIES**
- Oversee all accounting operations and financial planning and reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and process controls to ensure accuracy, achieving internal timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement and enhance financial systems and reporting frameworks for better visibility.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning to support business growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, ensuring accountability and excellence.
- Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with company objectives.
- Ensure timely tax filings, audits, and compliance with financial regulations.
- Oversee relationships with external auditors, banks, and key financial stakeholders.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or multi-entity financial management is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software.
- Expertise in risk management, compliance, and regulatory financial requirements.
- Hands-on leadership style with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to drive change, optimize processes, and improve reporting structures.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
