**Business Analyst (Contract)**

The Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs that will enhance the user experience. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. You will work closely with system analysts, developers, infrastructure analyst and business analyst to not only build incredible Farmer-Member facing products, but also developer-facing tools.

This role must be leading business requirements, processes and have excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. You will have exposure to every aspect of the software development cycle, and you will be collaborating with business stakeholders to innovate on dynamic solutions to drive value for our stakeholders.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Participate in the consideration, planning, and execution of CFO Connects Platform (web and mobile components) initiatives designed to meet organization strategic objectives.
- Work alongside internal business counterparts to gather, define and review requirements, process flows and user specifications
- Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements and document existing business processes.
- Clearly document business processes to generate and define requirements as an active participant in both discovery and development process.
- Work with the IT solution leaders to develop wire-frame models and UI prototypes.
- Own and deliver BA artifacts including tracking and documenting changes from asset remediation, current and future state process flows, data flow diagrams etc. as needed.
- Plan, coordinate and participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within the expected schedule, scope
- Work closely with Project Manager and/or leadership to provide regular updates on project status, including raising risks, issues, and impediments in a timely manner.

- Can communicate with varying stakeholders in different situations (e.g., one-on-one meetings, formal requirements gathering sessions, etc.)
- Possesses solid influencing and negotiating skill
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the business and the current IT environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

**System Quality Assurance**
- Develop QA and UAT test strategy and plan, and review test cases, test scripts and test suites to ensure optimum coverage of requirements to deliver a high-quality solution
- Lead the execution of QA and UAT test plan for the developed solution
- Assist in development and execution of training and change management
- Work with the business to use and ensure there are no defects upon implementation
- Tracks and manages defects and works with the team to prioritize and resolve them; acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement
- Monitor and measure key metrics across the various processes and solutions
- Good understanding of end-to-end defect tracking, communication and management of QA bugs found from the testing life cycle.

**Education**:Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Engineering Information Systems, or equivalent
