**Scope of Work Includes**:

- Installing, maintenance and troubleshooting of entry systems
- Installing, repairing, rebuilding, and servicing mechanical, electrical or computerized locking devices
- Servicing and opening safes and vaults
- Services concerning jammed locks and repair or replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts
- Install and set-up access control systems and high security locks
- Insert new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination
- Cut new or duplicate keys and key cards (including fob access tabs)
- Generate master for key cards
- Install and service commercial doors
- Replace hinges and re-align doors
- Disassemble door locks, pad locks and safe locks
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment
- Daily reporting and updates regarding job sites and related work
- Fill out paperwork to company satisfaction
- Etc.

**Requirements**:

- A valid Ontario G class driver’s license
- A clean driver’s abstract
- A clean criminal record check.
- Familiarity with driving throughout the GTA.
- Your own tools (speciality tools are provided by the company)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must work well independently and as a team
- Must work well under pressure
- Problem-solving with above-average technical/mechanical skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Trainable and enjoy learning new skills and technologies
- Trustworthy and dependable
- High attention to detail
- Certifications such as Locksmith Trade Certificate and / or AAADM considered an asset.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience

**Job Type**:

- Permanent
- Full Time (40 hours per week)

**Hours of Work**:

- Regular Hours_
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- On Call Rotation (Split evenly among technicians for 1 week at a time)_
- Monday to Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- 24-hour service is NOT required

**Working Conditions**:

- Travel to various customer sites across the GTA, coming to the office/warehouse when necessary
- Must be able to walk, climb, stand, lift, and bend repeatedly
- Some lifting of heavy equipment or materials (doors)

**Location**:

- ABC Security’s offices and warehouses are located at 55 Queens Plate Dr, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6P2. However, technicians mainly work at customer locations.

**What We Offer**:

- Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00/hour (commensurate with experience).
- Generous overtime:

- Overtime is paid at two times the technician’s regular hourly rate for hours worked over eight hours per day.
- Generous emergency call rates:

- Tier 1_
- $150 for the first hour worked (when arriving directly from a previous jobsite).
- $ 75/hr for additional time worked at site, paid out in half-hour increments.
- Tier 2_
- $225 for the first hour worked (when leaving from home).
- $ 75/hr for subsequent time worked at site, paid out in half-hour increments
- Benefits after successful completion of the probation period
- Company provided uniform shirt, coats, and hat, plus a reimbursement of up to $ 200.00 per year for other uniform expenses (pants, shorts, safety shoes)
- Company provided tablet
- Company provided vehicle and gas card, Home Depot credit card, cash float
- Ongoing and continuous training with company paid certifications
- 24-hour on call service is NOT required
