Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreman to join our team. As the Landscape Maintenance foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the upkeep of our various projects. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members. Despite being a leadership roll, we are seeking a person that is able to lead from within the crew, and work along side them on a daily basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, pruning plant installations, weeding, hedging, top dressing, over seed and fertilization.
- adhere to maintenance schedule on various projects, ensuring all areas are appropriately maintained as per contract specifications.
- Work in the field with the maintenance crew to ensure projects are kept up, and maintenance schedule is followed.
- Write up site reports from each project, and disseminate to the appropriate project manager at the main office.
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper procedures and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Assist construction crews with plant, shrub and tree installations on projects.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in the construction or landscaping industry.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, techniques, and best practices
- Proficient in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with safety reporting software such as SiteDocs is an asset.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team while still being in the field and on the tools yourself.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality control

Horticultural degree or experience is a significant asset. We are looking for an eager and energetic person to add to our team, that is not afraid to get their hands dirty. We pride ourselves in having a very detailed and quality oriented team, and are looking to keep up those high standards.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
