The Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH) in Lethbridge provides a full suite of healthcare services including the Jack Ady Cancer Centre and serves over 150,000 people. **Description**:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Recent experience (within 1-3 years) working in a Histology lab. Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Basic understanding of Hematoxylin and Eosin staining principles. Ability to perform routine maintenance on various laboratory equipment.
