We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As an I&R Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication services: phone, Internet, television, BVOIP, or security at the customer's business location while providing exceptional customer service and quality of work.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for telecommunications.
**Duties**:
- Drive to customer's business location to install or repair phone line, Internet and/or digital television, BVOIP or security system services on behalf of our client;
- Receive and complete work orders from a centralized dispatch center ensuring that service is delivered in a timely manner;
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous way to ensure that their work orders are completed as requested;
- Provide a high level of customer service ensuring that any concerns are addressed professionally;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with telecommunications equipment and systems;
- Trace and locate appropriate telecommunications links, which could involve climbing ladders;
- Work both indoors and outdoors at the customer location;
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience from the following industries is an asset but not necessary: telecommunications, home installation and service for electronics and appliances, security, cabling.
- Previous experience working in the field independently and strong technical aptitudes;
- Ability to manage a physically demanding position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, working at heights;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Self-Motivated and able to prioritize and organize work-loads with little direction;
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision;
- Be able to pass criminal background check;
- Must have and maintain a valid Class 5 provincial driver's license;
- **Must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Resident Card.**
