**Quality / Lab Technician**

**Responsibilities**:

- Quality and Raw Material testing (perform standard and QA/QC lab tests as required (tensile, izod impacts, density, drop dart impacts, peel tests, trouser tear, die c, ink adhesion, colour match plaques to standards by following written lab procedures and paying attention to details that are relevant to the approval/rejection process)
- Quality Assurance Non-Compliance Follow Through
- Assist with product development projects
- Implementation & maintenance of long-term UV testing program
- Interface with operators and process owners to collect statistically valid numbers of samples from plant floor
- Housekeeping & organization of the lab in accordance with 5S and H&S requirements
- Shipment accuracy verification for key customers
- Any other task as required

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year prior experience in the manufacturing industry and technical training
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, procedures, and testing
- Experience with ISO 9001:2000 requirements
- Use good documentation practices, recording data and results
- Highly motivated individual, a change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm
- High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills (mainly Excel spreadsheets, creating formulas)
- Excellent interpersonal skills

**Salary**: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
