**Community Workforce Development Case Manager**
**Term Position - 1 Year (Pilot Program)**
**Job Summary**:
The Community Workforce Development Case Manager will oversee a program to help our clients prepare for the workforce through training and life skills development. This program is focused on the unique needs of individual clients to provide opportunities for employment readiness and personal growth, with the goal of assisting our clients in building the personal and professional skills needed to succeed in the workforce. The Workforce Development Case Manager will facilitate life skills workshops and employment readiness programming to encourage and promote the well-being of Indigenous people by strengthening individuals, family, and community.
**Summary of Duties**:
- Work with 13 individuals to prepare for the workforce
- Building relationships with clients, community and social services, and partner/hiring organizations
- Work with community services to assist clients with childcare and transportation
- Work with partner organizations to facilitate wage subsidies for client roles
- Develop and facilitate life skills workshops to assist clients with planning and preparing for their futures
- Meet with clients to build personalized plans for workforce readiness, and enabling them to meet their goals
- Provide client support and direction and overseeing client progress while fostering open communication
- Tracking, assessing, and reviewing client progress against their objective
- Maintaining accurate and up to date files relevant to client cases
**Education and Qualifications**:
- **Required**: Minimum level of education is a Diploma in Human Services or Social Work
- **Required**: Experience delivering Indigenous programming and engaging with Indigenous communities/Individuals
- **Required**: Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Record Check
- **Required**: Clean Drivers Extract (5 years)
- Knowledge pretraining to Traditional Indigenous Protocol and engaging with Elders or Knowledge Keepers
- Proven experience as a client case manager
- Knowledge of local social service agencies and referrals
- Previous experience with a non-profit organization would be an asset
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communication (written and oral), presentation, and conflict management skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- Knowledge in preparing reports, and ability to maintain client case files
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision, take initiative and be self-motivated
- Develop Intake packages and assist with development of curriculum
- Demonstrated skills in critical thinking
**Submission Deadline**: January 31, 2025, by 4:00 pm
**Expected Start Date**: February 10, 2025
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
