Mathnasium of Pleasant View is currently looking for instructors who are **energetic** and **passionate** with Math, **love teaching and working with kids.**

Our mission is to teach children math so that they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assessing students and communicating results
- Teach, motivate, inspire and mentor children (grades 1 to 12)
- Managing the curriculum needs of students
- Communicating with parents about the progress of their child
- Training and mentoring instructors
- Managing instructor schedules
- General business operations
- Marketing or networking in the community
- Being Energetic and Creative while teaching new concepts to students
- Update student binders
- Relevant tasks related to teaching students at the Learning Centre including administrative assistance and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Previous experience managing a team
- Ability to motivate and lead a team to success
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Previous teaching/tutoring or coaching experienceCaring, energetic and confident personality
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
- Exceptional math knowledge from Grade 1 - 12
- Love working with children
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Previous experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Welcome retired and passionate teachers
- Ability to teach students in upper-level high school math courses
- Previous experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc) is a plus.
- University graduate or university student from a program with strong emphasis on Math. Educators, Pre and Post OCT are most welcome to join the team.

**Job Type**:

- Part-time (between 8 to 20 hours per week)
- Class hours are Monday - Thursday 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Sunday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. (May change according to students availability)

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
