Position Details
- The Intensive Services Counsellor functions independently in office, home, school and community settings to provide evidence-informed intensive intervention to children and youth with complex mental health issues and their families in collaboration with inter-professional team members.
- This position also provides support, education, training and coaching to children, youth and families. The intensive services counsellor will be required to provide back up coverage for the Nexus day treatment classrooms when needed, may be required to be on the crisis stand by roster as well will be required to co-facilitate groups and workshops.

**Qualifications**:

- This is complimented with two years’ experience working with children and youth with mental health problems that affect their functioning in areas such as home, school or the community.
- Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NCVI), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) are assets.
- French language proficiency, written and verbal are required.
