Pipefitter

Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield services company with divisions in pipeline, facilities, electrical, and instrumentation. Our Head Office is in Drayton Valley, AB with a secondary location 5 minutes from Sylvan Lake, AB on Highway 11.

Newforce has an opening for an experienced** Pipefitter** or **Picker Truck Operator**.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Experience as a pipefitter or Picker Truck Operator.
- Class 5 Licence with 3-year commercial driver abstract.
- Experience securing loads, pulling trailers, and operating picker trucks.
- Ability to understand and carry out Blueprints and written/verbal instructions.
- Able to read and follow maps to remote locations.
- Oil field safety tickets; H2S Alive, Ground disturbance level 2, First Aid, Common safety orientation.
- Must be from the **_Drayton Valley Area_** to be considered.
- Clean Drivers Abstract.
- Preference given to Total Station experience or owner operator.

**Preference**:To those individuals who currently have the following.
- Those that have started their apprenticeship.
- Confined Space Monitor entry and or Rescue.
- Fall Protection ticket.
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform ticket.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Make detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation (if required)
- Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
- Select the type and size of pipe required.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required shape using hand and power tools.
- Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of the piping system.
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system.
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate the system.
- May prepare cost estimates for clients.

**Working E**nvironment**: Average 10-hour days, weather conditions, changing environment, cramped and awkward positions. Working with heavy tools and materials.
