Here is what you will be doing:
As the Manager of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing enterprise-wide project and program management efforts. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that the strategic goals of Ontario Health (OH) are achieved through effective project oversight, collaboration, and innovation. In this dynamic role, you will:
- Lead and manage the EPMO: Establish and implement standards, frameworks, and processes to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and aligned with OH’s strategic goals. You'll ensure consistency in project execution, from initiation through to delivery, and provide ongoing support to ensure success.- Provide strategic oversight: Oversee the tracking and monitoring of strategic initiatives across OH, identifying interdependencies, fostering collaboration between departments, and ensuring that all projects are aligned with broader business goals.- Advise on project and program management issues: You’ll be the go-to expert, offering guidance and solutions for any project-related challenges. This includes addressing risks, impediments, and providing evidence-based recommendations to improve project delivery.- Champion change and innovation: As a key leader, you will drive critical cultural changes within the organization, promoting forward-thinking, innovative approaches to project management that contribute to OH’s long-term success.- Drive performance measurement and improvement: Develop and implement outcomes-based performance measures to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and projects. You will continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, ensuring that OH remains agile and responsive to changing needs.- Manage relationships across the organization: Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, project teams, and sponsors to define, prioritize, and develop initiatives that align with OH’s strategic direction.- Foster a culture of service excellence: Lead, mentor, and inspire your team to perform at their best. You will be responsible for their growth and development, as well as promoting a culture of continuous learning, diversity, and collaboration within the EPMO and across Ontario Health.- A master’s degree in business, Health Administration, or a related field, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).- At least 8 years of progressive experience in program and project management, with strong skills in strategic planning, scheduling, and budget oversight.- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, diversity, and collaboration.
