**Job Function Overview**:
As a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for ensuring dump boxes, trailers, parts etc. are sandblasted correctly, in preparation for paint. The Sandblaster must have the ability to operate sandblasting equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Operate Sandblasting equipment to remove paint, grease, tar, rust and dirt from metal material in preparation for painting;
- Regulate pressure and composition of sandblasting equipment;
- Mask specific areas of object to protect from abrading action;
- Examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications;
- Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs;
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day;
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production;
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Operate forklifts as required
- Operate overhead cranes up to 5 tons
- Keep work place organized
- Perform other duties, as required

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to be certified in forklift and crane operations
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time;
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor.

**Work conditions**:

- Noisy, dusty, dirty.

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Benefits**: EHC, Boot Allowance (after successfully completing a 90 day probationary period)

**Hours of work**: Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm. Fridays 7am to 12:00pm. 45 hours per week.

**Equipment required**:Steel toed boots with metatarsal guard

**Salary**:Dependent on experience
