Position: Driver Helper (Nanaimo) - Schedule: 4 X 10 | Floater | 3:45am start time - Position Overview - This position rides with the Class 1 Local Delivery Driver on established routes to ensure accurate, on-time delivery for GFS customers within standard operating procedures. Shifts will be based out of Nanaimo. - What We Offer: - Starting hourly rate of $23.41- Performance incentives available after 3 months- Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EAP Benefits after 30 days of employment- FULL flex benefits program- Steel toe boot reimbursement- Company matching RRSP- Profit Sharing- 125 year, family-owned and operated company history- Pay for performance incentive program after 3 months- Local routes -> guaranteed to be home every day- Family culture and advancement opportunities - Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsibilities include correctly offloading product to customer location, assisting the Class 1 Local Delivery Driver with product delivery and other duties as assigned. - Required Skills and Qualifications: - Ability to lift, load, push, pull and carry items up to 60 lbs- Ability to work independently as well as assist team members when necessary- Excellent communication and time management skills- Safe operation of all equipment- Strong work ethic and positive attitude- Professional demeanor and customer service focus- Ability to excel in a fast paced, physically demanding position- Be a team player and model the GFS Cornerstone Values- Consistent on-time attendance- Availability for weekends and statutory holidays. - #GFSCA We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
