Apprentice Plumber Helper

**ServiceXCEL Heating, Cooling & Plumbing - Nanaimo, BC**

We’re launching a brand-new plumbing division — and for the right person, this is a rare opportunity to get in early and grow with it.

This is not just a job. We’re looking for someone who wants to **build a trade career, earn great money, and eventually run their own plumbing calls with confidence.** You’ll be one of the **first plumbing-specific employees** in our company, trained directly by a dual-ticketed Journeyman (plumbing & HVAC).

We’ll invest heavily in your development — what we need from you is the right attitude.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Work side-by-side with a Journeyman plumber on **all aspects** of residential plumbing: fixtures, water heaters, repipes, drains, and the messy jobs others avoid.
- Learn by doing — including the dirty work — because mastering every part of the trade is how you’ll grow into a top plumber.
- Gain hands-on training to eventually perform jobs independently with less supervision.
- Carry, set up, and organize tools and materials on job sites.
- Communicate confidently and politely with homeowners — you’ll be a face of ServiceXCEL.
- Occasionally support our HVAC crews as a helper when needed, while staying focused on your plumbing career path.
- Show up on time, work hard, and bring a positive, “go-getter” attitude.

Who We’re Looking For
- Comfortable with **tools** — experience in construction, mechanical, automotive, or a similar hands-on trade is a big plus.
- **Motivated by money and growth** — you want to advance, learn, and eventually make $120k-200k/year as a top plumber.
- Friendly, easy to talk to, and confident with customers.
- Learns from mistakes and takes feedback well.
- Strong work ethic — shows up every day ready to go.
- Open to immigrants who plan to work long-term in Canada.
- Driver’s license and clean record preferred, but not required at the start.

Compensation & Growth
- **Starting wage: $23/hour** during your 3-month trial period while working under a Journeyman.
- After 3 months, if you’re the right long-term fit, you’ll start earning **hourly commissions** on top of your wage (starting at ~$7.50/hr, growing as you gain skills).
- This position is built to grow into one of our highest earning roles**:$120k-200k/year** for the right person.
