**Ice Cream Maker - Production Lead**

**What we are looking for**:

- Accurately track kitchen ingredients, ice cream pails, pints and inclusions
- Make and execute daily and weekly production plans
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in timeliness and professional manners
- Meticulous, organized, professional and is passionate about ice cream
- Excited about working for a small business that is growing and searching for innovation and new ideas and flavours

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Follow recipes accurately to produce ice cream bases, cookies and inclusions
- Conduct quality control of all food prep and ensure food health, safety and sanitation standards are upheld
- Conduct inventory management, including tracking ingredient levels, ice cream pails and pints and reporting shortages
- Monitor and maintain all the machinery so that it is in good working order
- Monitor inventory, purchasing and cost management
- Plan our daily and weekly production to ensure the retail store has sufficient products
- Oversee delivery of ingredients and unloading
- Follow FIFO for ingredients
- Wash, dry and put away all dishes and kitchen utensils
- Sweep, mop and keep the kitchen tidy and organized.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all members
- Excel at multi-tasking
- Create and develop new flavour and conduct recipe testing

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a kitchen environment and being a production lead
- Food Handler Certificate, First Aid (preferable)
- Have great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude
- Have a passion for food and cooking
- Schedule flexibility, ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be aware of and comfortable with the physical nature of this job, including lifting 50lbs, repetitive movement, and standing for long periods of time
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment is deseriable

Twice Cream is an independently owned local small business. We are a small-batch premium ice cream store in Edmonton that opened in 2022.

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
