Our rapidly growing, dynamic business is on the rise, and we are looking for a skilled **Warehouse Foreperson** who can support warehouse operations and ensure product is effectively and efficiently transported and stored to meet and maintain client, safety, and business requirements. As a frontline leader the role ensures people are operating safely and adhering to all standard operating protocols and processes. As a member of the Operations team and by effectively and efficiently managing priorities, the Foreperson is a key contributor to the achievement of the department’s deliverables.

**Position Type**: Full-time / Non-Union

**Schedule**:8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

**Location**:16810 140 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 1R6

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assign daily operator work tasks to ensure high levels of productivity at all times and remain visible on the warehouse floor, checking throughout the shift to ensure that proper methods and procedures are used and safety protocols are followed and standards maintained.
- Review receiving paperwork, verify blind receipts against packing slips, and investigate and resolve receiving variances. Inspect picking performance against a 100% target accuracy goal; that outbound orders are accurate and timely - ensuring driver wait times are 1 hour or less.
- Responsible for paperwork, picking, receiving, and location accuracy and performs cycle counts as required/requested, or where location codes or date/lot codes may require verification.
- Ensure the warehouse operates according to standard operating procedures and employees are adhering to productivity, quality, and safety standards. Immediately correct inappropriate behaviors and escalate as required.
- Responsible to immediately report all incidents, injuries, and near misses to Supervisor, Safety, and Human Resources.
- Promote a clean as you go warehouse and office environment that meets and maintains good housekeeping practices; inspect trucks/containers cleanliness to ensure a safe environment for products and operators.
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement and provide management recommendations for change.
- Provide feedback to the Supervisor on staffing, performance, reporting, safety, etc and may be required to attend meetings and perform supervisor duties in their absence. Assists with training and development of operators.
- Maintains clear and concise communications with all stakeholders to ensure good internal and external customer service.
- Ensure all required forms and reports are completed related to GMP training and escalate all food safety risks that may occur to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Report all missing, damaged product, any racking and equipment deficiencies, all safety hazards and report variances and incidents to management immediately.
- Ensure security of building and inventory is maintained. Report any security threats immediately.
- Strives to continually enhance the quality and delivery of services through efficiencies and innovation.
- Adheres to guidelines as set out in the organization’s policies.
- Remains in compliance with the Alberta _Employment Standards Code_, the Alberta _Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code_, and participates in the Health and Safety program.
- Performs related duties as required and assigned.

**Requirements**:

- A high-school diploma or GED is required. Preference given to completion of a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Logistix Management, or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a foreperson role within 3PL warehousing.
- Proven achievement of results through strength in sound decision-making, organization, and time-management is key to success in the role. Experience working with and developing teams competency in a 3PL warehousing environment is considered an asset. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Working Conditions**:

- The work setting is a warehouse environment and may require use of computers and other office equipment and machines. Must be able to work outside as required and may be exposed to snow, rain, heat, dust, wind, noise, and uneven terrain. Working variable hours or overtime is expected when required.

**Physical Requirements**:

- This role requires physical effort that includes periods of prolonged walking, standing, and may involve ladders, crawling, crouching, reaching, twisting, bending, and sitting. May be required to travel to other warehouses.
